Sitting on a stairwell on the upper east side
Oh jack watches as a poodle in it's mink stroll by
The skies turns to grey as old jack he turns away
Knowin' that poodle probably eats better than most cats in this town

To open shelters wherever they may be found

In new york city, his friends can be found
Mumblin' about doors being too big, too wide, too round
Or you'll see them in the alley with their coats not too thick

Jack he gave in many long winters ago

And the four seasons, they turned to snow
